Our coaching philosophy
Keen to learn and improve? We offer tennis coaching for all ages and levels.
Our goal is to make tennis fun, inspiring and achievable whatever stage you’re at in your tennis journey.
Beginner classes
With newbies, we work on skills that will eventually lead to rallying (hitting the tennis ball back and forth with a friend). Rallying is essential to tennis, lots of fun and allows beginners to get the feeling of playing tennis relatively quickly. These include the basics that help you strike and control the tennis ball, sending and receiving skills (with and without a racquet), and developing your coordination & timing. We play to learn while learning to play.
Intermediate and Advanced classes
As you progress and build confidence, we start to go deeper into all the fundamental tennis shots/techniques, types of spin, footwork, developing consistency, power, and a whole lot more. There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to tennis, so we endeavour to tailor our coaching to the needs of each student/class as much as possible.

Enjoyment
Striking a tennis ball is a great feeling that brings people together all year round. There are many ways to enjoy the game, whether it’s hitting with friends and family, playing comp, taking a weekly class, and watching the pros battle it out. There’s just one rule: Have fun!
WELLBEING
Tennis elevates our physical health and overall wellbeing. The combination of exercise and social interaction releases ‘feel good’ brain chemicals. ‘Happy hormones’ serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins help promote happiness and pleasure while reducing depression and anxiety. Simply put, tennis can be a source of therapy for people.
LIVE LONGER
Playing tennis also makes us live longer – possibly more than other sports. The Copenhagen City Heart Study, which followed over 8,500 people for 25 years, suggests recreational tennis players increase their life expectancy by an average of 9.7 years (badminton by 6.2 years, swimming by 3.4 years, and jogging by 3.2 years). Similarly, in a 2020 study published in the International Journal of Exercise Science, recreational tennis players who played at least twice a week were less likely to have obesity, felt more energised, and had better overall health.
